Why did you choose to have your wedding in Panama?
Panama is the most special place for both of us- as a Zonian, Albert grew up here, we met each other here as teenagers, and Albert proposed here! There are so many happy memories here, it felt just right to tie the knot here too!
How long should I plan to stay?
That depends on where you're traveling from, as well as if you are planning on wanting to see the sights as well! If you're coming from the East Coast, 3+ days; from the West Coast, 4+ days; if, like Tahlia's parents, Hawaii, 5+ days ( make it worth that long-haul flight!)
What do I need to know about traveling to Panama?
Please make sure your passport has adequate time on it (6 + months); U.S. citizens will fill out an entry form and proceed through customs / immigration upon landing. Also, please be aware that your luggage will go through agriculture check upon entry /exit to and from Panama.
Also, there is no need to convert currency; for those traveling to Panama for the first time, Panama uses the US dollar (known as Balboas) - the biggest difference being the use of dollar coins that can only be used locally.
What will the weather be like in Panama?
Panama has a warm and humid, tropical climate! Our wedding is around the beginning of the rainy season, so pack your summer clothes, an umbrella, and sunscreen!
What is the best way for me to get around if I want to sight-see?
Uber is the best way to travel locally, especially if you're not familiar with driving in Panama; if you have international data/roaming on your phone, you should be able to book one with no issues. Otherwise, you can arrange for a car at the hotel's front desk. Taxis are also plentiful throughout Panama City and Casco Viejo (Old Town Panama).
Are children welcome?
You are more than welcome to bring your children with you on your trip to Panama! There are many once-in-a-lifetime experiences here. Our wedding and reception will be an adults-only event, with alcohol present. The only under-18´s issued an invitation for the wedding and reception will be those in the immediate and close family.
Where can we find your registry?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! Should you wish to honor us with a gift, your contributions will help us create unforgettable memories as we begin this new chapter.
If you´re more traditional, we will have a box for cards at the reception; or if we won´t have the pleasure of your company, cards can be mailed to the house.
The link to our fund can be found under the 'Registry' link.
What should I wear to your wedding?
The dress code for the wedding + reception is cocktail attire.
If you have any questions about dress code, we've provided a link below for ideas as well as our color palette. This is by no means obligatory, merely a guide if you find it helpful!
